Fergus Falls eighth-grader, Abby Hobbs, will take the Metrodome field Saturday to compete in the Minnesota Vikings’ NFL Punt, Pass and Kick championship.

Hobbs competed locally in Fergus Falls and advanced to Brainerd for the sectional tournament. Her total distance of 276 feet allowed her to advance to the Metrodome as her score was higher than opponents from different states.

This is Hobbs’ second time competing at the Metrodome. Her score will then be submitted to the NFL and once all 32 teams have completed their team championship, the scores will be ranked and the top four finishers nationwide in each age group will receive a trip to the national finals taking place at an NFC playoff game in January, 2013.
