The Perham City Council is looking to sell a 1.14-acre of land where the fairgrounds cattle barn is presently located.raw

The parcel, with an estimated asking price of $150,000, boasts about 357 feet of frontage on 3rd Ave. SE and is situated between Lakes Area Cooperative and the parking lot north of Knutilla Financial, according to the East Otter Tail Focus.

With the fair board designing a new cattle barn, which would be located elsewhere on the fairgrounds property, the parcel of land is appealing to at least one potential developer.

The city recently established it as a tax increment financing district. The Perham planning commission will review the proposal in December, with a city decision expected as early as January.
