Lance Rach was named the Perham-Dent School District’s Teacher of the Year last week, according to the East Otter Tail Focus.

He will go on to represent the district’s teachers for the Minnesota Teacher of the Year honor.

With children lining the halls, shouting, “Mr. Rach rocks,” the fourth-grade teacher paraded around on a streamer-decorated floor scrubber.

He has taught in the Perham-Dent school for 19 years, teaching first, third and now fourth-grade math, science and social studies.
