Underwood resident dies in Perham crash [UPDATED]

An Underwood man died and a woman was injured when the two were struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Perham Thursday.

Marilyn and David Beighley were walking across Perham’s Main Street in an area not controlled by a crosswalk or intersection when they were struck by a westbound vehicle at about 2 p.m.

Both were taken to Perham Health, and David was transported by helicopter to Sanford Health in Fargo.

The Perham Police Department has not provided any further information at this time, and the extent of Marilyn’s injuries is unknown. The incident is still under investigation.
