Spartan Men down Northland 79-59

The M State Spartan Men’s basketball team had a pressure filled weekend, but were able to get it down on Friday and Saturday as they defeated the Northland Pioneers 79-59.

Coming off a one win victory Friday, the Spartans took initiative and controlled their home court for the victory.

Shane Bosek led M State with 22 points, while teammate Chuckie Smith recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards.

The Spartans were able to use their aggressive rebounding prowess to pull down 50 rebounds to Northland’s 35.

The Spartans will be back in action Friday as they travel to Brainerd to participate in the Central Lakes Classic.
