Two Fargo men fell through the ice while fishing on Grove Lake north of Pelican Rapids Friday.

Colton Kellen, 20, and Jacob Stevens, 20, were allegedly fishing on 4 to 5 inches of water, but when they were walking back to shore, they became disoriented and began walking in the opposite direction of their vehicle.

After falling through the ice, they managed to get out and make it to shore, but they didn’t know where they were when they called 911 at around 8:45 p.m.

Kellen and Stevens were found on Grove Lake Road. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office reported the 20-year-olds were cold but otherwise uninjured. The two were checked by Pelican Ambulance but denied any further medical treatment.
