She was born Jan. 22, 1917.

Formerly of Fergus Falls where Arvilla and husband Kenneth farmed the old family farm and raised their family, they acquired wonderful friends and neighbors who they dearly missed when they moved to Minneapolis Minnesota in 1968 to work, Kenneth at FMC and Arvilla at Control Data. In 1980, they retired to St. Regis, Mont.

Arvilla was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Nora Nelson; her husband, Kenneth; and a son, Gary.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon (Viril) Peterson, June Johnson, Anita Johnson (James Olander); grandchildren, Kevin, Troy, Brian Rollag, Chelsa Johnson, Autumn (Travis) Hieb, Alissa Gavenda and Jesse Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jonathen Rollag, Cale, a soon-to-be-born baby Hieb; and a brother, Stanley (Shirley) Nelson.

A remembrance service service is planned Jan. 16, 2013, at Jones Harrison Minneapolis.

A private family burial is planned at a future date at Oak Grove Cemetary in Fergus Falls.
