School board OKs support staff hires [UPDATED]

In School Board news, the board approved the hiring of the following support staff: An additional 5.5 hours per week to a para educator position filled by MaryJo Schultz, effective Nov. 29.; Nicole Schleske, ECFE Part-time Classroom Assistant, effective Oct. 25; Randy Irmen, noon-hour supervisor, Cleveland Elementary, effective Nov. 19.

Support Staff Resignations included Carol Bastress, special education paraprofessional, effective Dec. 13.

Support staff retirements included Letter of retirement received from two para educators according to the Letter of Agreement between the Para-Educator Association and ISD #544 dated Oct. 16.

The next school board meeting is a special meeting on Dec. 17.

The time has been changed from 5:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
