Church of Peace plans holiday program [UPDATED]

Church of Peace United Methodist 1500 South Cascade in Fergus Falls will have a special service at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. A coffee, milk and Christmas cookie fellowship will begin at 8:15 a.m. prior to the service.involves

The worship service will include advent candle lighting, the Sunday school Christmas program directed by Kevin Carr and Peggy Marlenee, a message from the Rev. Gary and special music by Jerry Covington. Jerry, his wife and their daughters live in Fergus Falls. Jerry grew up in Mississippi singing in choirs, small quartets and solo.

He was stationed in Grand Forks, as he was in the Air Force for 12 years.

Jerry is an active member of the Center for the Arts well-known for his acting, musical and directing abilities.

He is under the direction of Teresa Ashworth at M State in its Chamber Chorale.
