Hornets sting Vikings at home
Published 10:33am Friday, December 14, 2012PELICAN RAPIDS – The Pelican Rapids Viking wrestlers faced a tough challenge taking on the Frazee Hornets Thursday night.
The Vikings brought a solid 7-1 record to the meet, but were unable to claim a victory at any weight level.
At the 126 lb. weight class, the Vikings’ Dakota Pixley battled Ethan Byer to overtime, but ultimately lost in a close 4-2 decision.
Collectively, the Hornets were able to collect six pinfalls on the night. Wrestlers of the meet included Pixley and Jason Meyer.
The Vikings will travel to New York Mills Thursday to participate in a triangular against the Eagles and the Prairie Valley Nighthawks.
