GLYNDON — The Pelican Rapids girls could not overcome a five point deficit at half-time as the host Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels picked up a Heart O’Lakes Conference victory 55-50.

Pelican Rapids struggled shooting as they went 15 for 52 from the field.

“We played great defense,” Vikings coach Brian Korf said. “We just need to shoot the ball better and limit our turnovers.”

Mackenzie Korf led the Vikings with 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. Teammates Kendra Weinrich (12) and Madison Korf (11) were also in double digits in the game.

The Vikings will now travel to Thief River Falls to take on Red Lake at Northland Community and Technical College Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
