Man challenges officer to fight, arrested [UPDATED]

A Fergus Falls man was arrested without incident Friday after he challenged a law enforcement officer to a fight.

A police officer encountered Robert John Elliot allegedly hollering profanities on North Broadway Avenue. When approached by the officer, Elliot asked if the officer wanted to fight.

The man was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of methamphetamine.
