ASHBY — The Ashby Arrow boys basketball team was able to win at home against the Brandon-Evansville Chargers in a Little Eight Conference battle on Tuesday night. After jumping out to an early lead, the Arrows never looked back, winning in convincing style 65-54.

Blake Ohren led the way for the Arrows with 12 points on the evening, adding seven rebounds. J.P. Moe and Dylan Barry were also in double digits for the Arrows with 11 points and ten points, respectively. Tanner Langlie was a lay-up away from a double-double as he had 8 points on the night and led the team with 10 rebounds.

“I thought we played really good devensively in the first half.” said Coach Jeremy Knick. “Defensively that was one of the better halves we have played and we executed a good game plan. Late in the second we lost our focus and intensity, and didn’t close the game out the way we should have. We have to do a better job of playing two complete halves of basketball. Offensively we weren’t moving the ball very well, or moving without the ball very well. These are two things we really need to improve on going forward.”

The Arrows will look to continue their winning ways as they will play hosts to Hancock Friday.
