Rockets fall to Rebels in overtime 66-59

WAHPETON — The Underwood Rocket boys played a tough game Wednesday night, but the ball didn’t bounce in their favor as Fairmount /Campbell-Tintah took home a 66-59 overtime victory at the NDSCS shootout.

The Rockets came out on the court ready to play as they held a 26-20 lead at the half-time.

Fairmount was able to rally in the second half, forcing an overtime and eventually taking the win.

The Rebels were led by D’Angelo Burns, who knocked down 38 points in the win.

Steffan Stroh picked up a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards, while teammate Zane Lind led the Rockets with 17 tallies and pulled down eight rebounds.

Underwood was stout underneath the rim, beating the Rebels 34-25 in the rebound department, but committed 16 turnovers in the game.

The Rockets will look to regroup as they enter 2013 as their next scheduled game will be at home against the Parkers Prairie Panthers Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
