Good Sam is offering to donate its 30-unit assisted living facility to the Pelican Valley Hospital District, according to The Press in Pelican Rapids.

The facility, valued at $2.32 million by the Otter Tail County Assessor’s office, was recently transitioned from a skilled care facility to assisted living over the past year.

Good Samaritan would also assume the existing debt.

A sub-committee of the Pelican Valley Hospital board has been formed to research the feasibility of the transfer and was to make a recommendation to the full hospital board Dec. 17.
