HLA boys cage Panthers 75-64

The Hillcrest boys basketball team will have a Happy Holiday season as they defeated the Parkers Prairie Panthers 75-64 in their final game of 2012.

The Comets were able to leave the court at the break with a 25-24 lead, but found their groove in the second half as they scored 50 points.

Calveti Nyabingi led the Hillcrest shooters with 23 points, while teammate Daniel Nersten recorded a double-double with 21 tallies and 11 rebounds.

Jake Isaac also had a great night for the Comets hitting four of eight treys for 12 points.

The Comets go into the break with a 2-3 record and will not be back in action till Dec. 10 versus LEC rival Underwood at home.
