Knights fall, Owls win 65-40

HANCOCK — The West Central Area girls basketball team could not overcome an early deficit as they fell to Hancock 65-40 Friday.

The Knights were balanced in their scoring attack as Abby Van Kempen led West Central with nine points, while teammates Kelsey Hammer, Kylee Fernholz and Holly Van Kempen each added eight points.

The Knights will look to rebound in the new year as they host Browerville Thursday at 6 p.m.
