WCA boys roll past Hancock 76-41

HANCOCK — The West Central Area boys basketball team was on its mark Friday as they defeated the hosting Hancock Owls 76-41.Eddie

It seemed like the Knights could not miss in the first half as they buried 49 points and held the Owls to only 26 before the break.

West Central continued the pressure in the second half and were able to lock the victory as they added 27 additional points.

Dakotah Kashmark continues to have a great season as he led the Knights with 31 points, eight rebounds, seven steals, and five assists. Teammate Jay Zimmerman was also in double figures with 13 points and finished with seven boards.

West Central was 25 for 45 from the field, including seven treys. The Knights also benefited from the charity stripe as they hit 19 of 26 free throws.

The Knights will be back in action Thursday as they travel to take on Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in a 6 p.m. match up.
