Woman crashes car [UPDATED]

A Wadena woman was transported to Perham Health for injuries she suffered in a one-vehicle accident Sunday.

Kelsey Browne, 19, was driving east on County Highway 14 near New York Mills when she lost control, left the roadway and hit an approach. While traveling through the ditch, the 2008 Chevrolet, Malibu struck an embankment before coming to rest on a frozen swamp. The vehicle traveled about 100 yards from the roadway before stopping.

Browne was transported to Perham Heath where she was treated for minor injuries. Damage to the vehicle is estimated to be more than $1,000
