FF cabinet firm owner Rone dies at 63

Mike Rone, the long-time owner of Northern Contours in Fergus Falls, died Saturday at the age of 63.

Rone, who worked for Medallion Kitchens in Fergus Falls, opened the manufacturing plants in Fergus Falls, on South Robert Street at the former Pamida building at intersection of Highway 210 and Pebble Lake Road in the early 1990s. It later built a new plant along Highway 210.

Northern Contours produces veneer, hardwood and thermofoil components for the cabinet, furniture and store fixture industry. It employs about 200 in Fergus Falls.
