Gadet help available at library [UPDATED]

Are you interested in finding out more about how to get started using its features and functions? The library can help you with that! We have a variety of post-holiday, device specific classes planned to help you get comfortable with your new device.
We will be offering a class specific for those who received eReaders (devices with black and white screens and used primarily for reading) over the holidays. The eReader class will be held:
• 11a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3
• 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11
• 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14
If you own a Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD, plan to attend one of the following Kindle Fire class sessions:
• 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2
• 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10
• 10 to 11a.m. Friday, Jan. 18
If you received an iPad or iPad mini as a gift, we’ve got classes for you too:
• 5 to 6 p.m.Friday, Jan. 4
• 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8
• 11a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14
Nook HD, Nook Tablet and Nook Color owners may sign up for a one-on-one appointment with a library staff member to receive help with their devices.
Owners of other devices, including those we are offering classes on, may also register for a one-on-one appointment if none of the class times work with your schedule or if you would like more assistance. Call the library at 218-739-9387 to register for an appointment or for more information about the classes.
The library also has eBooks and eAudiobooks you can download and check-out on your device. All you need is a valid Viking Library System library card.
To access the eBooks from our website, (www.fergusfalls.lib.mn.us) choose the “Digital Downloads” menu option.
You will also find Help Pages on our website designed to guide you through the check-out process. There is no cost for this service and, as the books will “disappear” from your device once the due date is reached, eBooks and eAudiobooks do not accrue late fines or fees.
