Driver asks for help then flees [UPDATED]

Anthony Ballamis pulled over, engaged his emergency flashers, and asked the Fergus Falls police for assistance because his car ran out of gas.

He gave police a real name, just not his own.

While restrained in handcuffs, he tried to flee on foot.

Ballamis was arrested for giving false information.

He was also cited for not having a valid Minnesota driver’s license and no insurance.
