Steven Lavern Wagner, 56

Steven Wagner, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the Glenwood Retirement Village in Glenwood.

Steven was born on Oct. 21, 1956, in Fullerton, Neb., to Lavern and Helen Wagner.

When Steven was two years old his family moved to Ashby, where his parents owned and operated the Wagner Lakeview Resort for many years.

He attended Ashby Public School.

On February 23, 1980, Steven joined the United States Army.

He lived in several different states throughout the years and was living in Franklin most recently.

He is survived by his children, Steven and Chad; a brother, Ron Wagner (Mary) of Alexandria; and four sisters, Linda Czyz (Frank) of San Jose, Calif., Cathy Wagner of Elk River, Karen Schultz (Keith) of Garfield, and Lori Schultz (Rodney) of Alexandria.

No services are planned. Burial will be in Pelican Lake Cemetery in Ashby.

Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Ashby is in charge of arrangements.
