Brainerd tops FF gymnasts

The Fergus Falls Otters gymnasts continue to improve as they scored a season high team score, but saw visiting Brainerd take home a win 128.2-120.4 in a Central Lakes Conference battle.poets

Chandler Frigaard was the top overall finisher for the Otters with a 31.65 score for second. Frigaard took second in the floor routine (8.3), third in vault (8.25) and fourth on the beam (7.8).

Camryn Appert recorded a personal best on the uneven bars with a 7.45 for a third place finish and had a fourth place finish all around with a 30.3 score.

Carolina Wagnild tied Appert for third in the uneven bars, while teammate McKenna Hatlewick took fifth in the floor routine with a 7.85.

Kim Conrad had her best beam score tonight with a 6.35.

“We had another season high team score tonight,” Otter coach Erin Larson said. “There were also some individual personal bests.”

The Otters will be back in action Thursday as they host the St. Cloud Tech Tigers in a 6 p.m. CLC match up.
