OTC wrestler start 2013 with challenge
Published 9:32am Monday, January 7, 2013The start of 2013 was a tough one for the OTC Bulldog wrestler, as they opened up with twelfth ranked Perham in a dual. They then traveled to Belgrade for the Jaguar invitational were they tangled with fifth ranked KMS, sixth ranked Becker, seventh ranked Minneota, and The Guillotine’s picks for “Lean and Mean” BBE and BHV.
The Bulldogs wrestled hard against the Jackets, but were over powered 65-9. The Bulldogs did step it up a notch and wrestled by far their best matches of the year at the Jaguar Invitational, as they had five place winners in the top four. This was an improvement from last year, as they only had three. Also what was exciting, was the Bulldogs had no returning place winners and they had some upsets over ranked opponents during the tournament.
Up next for the Bulldogs is Browerville on Tuesday in Battle Lake.
