Soenksen – Pontius [UPDATED]
Published 5:56am Monday, January 7, 2013 Updated 8:08am Monday, January 7, 2013Kelly Ruth Soenksen and Benjamin Stephan Pontius were married July 22, 2012, at Salem Evangelical Free church in Fargo. This was the church where they first met. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Glen Stevens. A reception followed at Rustic Oaks in Moorhead.

Parents of the couple are Marty and Brad Soenksen of Fergus Falls and Mike and Stephanie Pontius of Brainerd.
The maid of honor was Anna Soenksen, sister of the bride. The best man was Taylor Pontius, brother of the groom.
The bridesmaid’s were: Rebekka Abel and Megan Kokesch both friend’s of the bride. Groomsmen were: Justin Tyner and Dan Nichols both friend’s of the groom. The ushers were: David Soenksen, brother of the bride, and Trevor Pontius, brother of the groom.
Kelly graduated from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in 2007, Alexandria Technical College in 2009, and will be graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead in May 2013 in graphic design and printmaking.
Ben graduated both from high school and from Central Lakes Community College in Brainerd in May of 2007 doing PSEO classes. He will be graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead in May 2013 with a degree in creative writing and plans to attend seminary in the future.
The couple presently resides in Moorhead.
