Spartan Women fall to Mesabi Range 62-56

GRAND RAPIDS — The Spartan Women could not rally from behind as Mesabi Range claimed a 62-56 win in the Itasca Classic Saturday.

M State’s Morgan Kapphahn led the team with 15 tallies, while Maria Johnson and Alyssa Blair each chipped in 10 points in the game.

The Spartans will look to get back in the win column Wednesday as they host Southern Division rival Minnesota West in a 6 p.m. showdown.
