A semi tractor pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with a John Deere 644 front-end loader was driving east on County Highway 36, near Sybil Lake Road under the Canadian Pacific Railway Friday morning when it proceeded through the underpass and the cab of the frontloader struck the underside of the railway bridge.

The cab came to a rest on the roadway at about 10 a.m. The loader was extensively damaged.

The bridge sustained minor damage but was not taken out of service.

The semi driver was cited for having an over-height load without a permit.
