Free throws put Rocket girls over Pirates 63-54

VERNDALE — The Underwood girls basketball team converted 17 of 31 shots from the free throw line as they picked up a 63-54 win over the Verndale Pirates Monday.

Carly Masloski led the Rocket girls with 18 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double, while Greta Thormodson (14) and Megan Biegler (13) were also in double figures in the win.

The Rockets will be back in action Tuesday as they travel to take on the Rothsay Tigers in a Little Eight Conference battle at 7:30 p.m.
