B-E tops HLA 56-24

BRANDON — The Hillcrest girls were able to charge out of the gate, but ran out of steam as Brandon-Evansville won 56-24.

Megan Friedrich led the Chargers with 17 points.

Hillcrest’s Kelsey Nersten and Abbe Monacelli each scored seven points in the game.

The Chargers will look to continue their success in the LEC as they take on Battle Lake Friday at 7:30 p.m., while the Comets will look to get their first win as they travel to Ortonville Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. game.
