David Kramer, died expectedly in Onamia on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.critics

David Andrew Kramer was born on July 3, 1948, at Wesley Hospital in Wadena. His parents are Marie (Neis) Kramer and the late Ambrose Kramer. David grew up on the family farm in rural Bertha, Minnesota. He graduated from Bertha High School with the Class of 1966, where he also participated in wrestling.

After High School, he continued his education and wrestling career at St. Cloud State University for two years. In April 1972, David was united in marriage to Carol Callahan in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Brent and Eric. David was employed with ITT Insurance and later owned and operated Century 21 in Wadena, Minnesota.

David was ordained in ministry in 1983. He has enjoyed volunteer ministry since 1984 and has volunteered at the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, also traveling to Haiti.

On Dec. 30, 1987, David was united in marriage to Rosemarie Bordeaux in Walterboro, South Carolina. Since 1999, David has been employed with US Card Systems as an independent sales agent in Brainerd.

David and Rose made their home in rural Henning, Minnesota for the past 21 years, moving to Battle Lake, Minnesota in November of 2012.

On Dec. 30, 2012, they celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. David enjoyed deer hunting, he was an avid Minnesota sports fan and he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren wrestle. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Preceding David in death was his father, Ambrose and brother Joseph.

David is survived by his wife of 25 years , Rosemarie Kramer of Battle Lake; mother, Marie Kramer of Sebeka; sons: Brent (Sherry) Kramer of Baxter and Eric (Angela) Kramer of Pillager; step-children: Alton Bordeaux, Quinton Bordeaux; Paulette Young, Twanette Bordeaux and Greg Bordeaux, Jr.; many grandchildren, nephews and nieces ; sisters, Ellen (Scott) Kramer-Anderson of Minneapolis , Susan (Mike) Tast of Wadena; brothers, Steve (Judy) Kramer of Wadena, Greg (Jan) Kramer of Wadena, Michael (Brenda) Kramer of Sebeka, Sean (Kelly) Kramer of Merrifield and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held for David Kramer of Battle Lake, Minnesota (formerly of Henning, Minnesota) on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Henning, Minnesota, with Pastor Terry Nelson officiating. The pallbearers were Steve Kramer, Greg Kramer, Michael Kramer, Sean Kramer, Randy Edberg and John Greenwaldt.

Arrangements were provided by Belmont Funeral Home in Henning.
