The Fergus Falls First Church of the Nazarene (The Naz) is offering a course to the community to give hope and restoration to anyone hurting from separation or divorce.

The 13-week multi-facted course will be held on Sundays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 3 at the Naz at 1319 North Cleveland Ave, Fergus Falls.

The three programs below will run simultaneously each week.

DivorceCare

This course for adults features nationally recognized experts on divorce and recovery topics. Seminar sessions include “Facing my anger,” “Facing my loneliness,” “New relationships,” “Kid care,” and “Forgiveness.”

The Big D

This cirriculum is for teens ages 13-18 and takes them through the process of anger, sadness, change, forgiveness and acceptance in a way that teens can relate to and is packed with activities that teens enjoy. It not only helps them deal with divorce and living in a single parent home but it also includes an element of being in a blended family and all that changes that come along with that.

DC4K (DivorceCare for kids)

The course is for kids ages 5-12 and will cover the same topics as the adult sessions. DC4K provides a safe, fun place where your children will:

• Learn to understand their feelings

• Express their emotions appropriately

• Feel better about themselves

• Develop coping skills

• Be introduced to biblical concepts that will bring comfort.

The cost for each adult, teen, or child participating is $15. Scholarships are available if needed. To register online go to www.ffnaz.org, click on “Ministries” and then “DivorceCare”. Workbooks will be distributed the first class session.

If you have any questions about DivorceCare for any age group, contact Lisa Hart at the Naz at 218-736-2764, Ext. 304.
