Ice fishing in full swing [UPDATED]

An ice angler holds a lonely vigil over a hole on Pelican Lake near Ashby. According to Ben’s Bait Shop in Battle Lake, Walleyes have been good on Otter Tail Lake, and so-so on West Battle Lake and Pelican Lake using fatheads. Sunfish are biting on wax worms on South Turtle, Blanche and Ellingson lakes. Northerns have been hitting suckers and shiners on North Turtle, Turtle and Otter Tail lakes. Ice thickness is reported at 12 to 16 inches.
