ASHBY — Defensive intensity and key buckets helped the Arrow girls basketball team pick up a win Thursday over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 56-32.

After a slow start in the first half, Ashby was able to go into the break with a 10 point lead.

The second half saw a continuation of the first as the Arrows ran away with the victory.

Ashby’s Amber Sundal led the team with 17 points, while teammates Cassandra Jordan (15) and Abbi Ras (12) also tallied double figures in scoring in the win.

The Arrows will host the last of five straight home games Tuesday as they welcome in the Bertha-Hewitt Bears for a 7:30 p.m. showdown.
