Rams buck Spartans 78-67

The M State Women’s basketball team attempted to rally from a 15 point deficit, but fell short as the visiting Anoka-Ramsey Golden Rams picked up a 78-67 MCAC Southern Division win Sunday.insist

Spartans’ Alyssa Blair had a great day from the field as she went 9 of 16 shooting with 22 points and yanked down 10 rebounds for a double-double. Megan Cole also scored double digits for M State with 11 tallies.

The Rams had four players in double digits as Tacita Gonzalez led the visitor with 18 points.

M State did hold the advantage on the boards recording 43 rebounds compared to the Rams’ 31.

The Spartans will look to get back on the right track Wednesday as they travel to take on Western Wisconsin Tech in a 6 p.m. tilt.
