Vehicle fire reported near Dent [UPDATED]

A vehicle fire was reported to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon.

Brent Woods reported a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck that had been parked near the residence of 41477 County Highway 85, west of Dent, at about 5 p.m. had caught fire.

The unoccupied vehicle was engulfed in flames when the Dent Fire Department and Otter Tail Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrived on the scene.

The truck was a total loss. A passenger car that had been parked near the burning truck sustained some damages, according to the report.

The Dent Fire Department was able to contain the blaze and no damage to the surrounding home or buildings was noted.
