BATTLE LAKE — The Ashby Arrows fell to the Battle Lake on Tuesday by a score of 72-40, getting their second loss of the season as the Battlers recorded their 10th.

“This was a tough night for us,” said Ashby head coach Jeremy Knick. “Battle Lake out worked us in every aspect of the game. They worked hard and talked on defense. We have a lot of tough games in the next several days, so hopefully we can get refocused and reenergized to compete at a higher level.”

Battle Lake’s Dan Marso was one of four players in double figures, leading the team with 22. Petric VanErp (14), Tyler Ukkelberg (14) and Tony Ukkelberg (12) were also in double figures.

Blake Ohren led the Arrows with 15 points, adding 6 rebounds and 3 assist.

Ashby will travel to Underwood for their next matchup, while Battle Lake will also hit the road to take on Brandon-Evansville. Both games will be held Friday.
