Viking boys breeze past WDC 84-34

WADENA — Coming off of a 16 day break, the Pelican Rapids boys basketball team brought fresh legs to Wadena, where they pulled off a dominant 84-34 win over the Wolverines.

The Vikings showed no sign of rust, having five players score in double digits. Tucker Forsgren lead on the night with 16 points. Following Forsgren, Ryan Bruggeman put in 13, Travis Haugen and Blaine Gorton both had 12, and Devin Schell contributed 10.

Pelican Rapids will waste no time getting back to action, as they travel to Breckenridge on Thursday and play Bagley at Concordia College on Saturday. The Wolverines host Pequot Lakes on Friday night.
