Do your part, stay healthy [UPDATED]Published 9:53am Thursday, January 17, 2013 Updated 11:55am Thursday, January 17, 2013
The flu has hit hard this season, and we would like to encourage all area residents to do their part in keeping the spread to a minimum.
We all live in the community. We go to work, the grocery stores, the schools, sporting events and gas stations. In order to keep the flu from spreading, we need to think about what we touch, when we wash our hands and when to just stay home.
Anyone who is experiencing flu-like symptoms needs to do everyone in Otter Tail County a favor and take the time to stay in and get better no matter how important work, school or shopping may seem.
Getting vaccinated is another great way to help slow the spread. While vaccinations throughout the city are in short supply, the Otter Tail County Public Health Department offers special flu clinics and can schedule flu shot appointments for those interested in getting vaccinated.
We need everyone’s help to keep this year’s bad flu season from getting out of control. Please do your part, and Fergus Falls can look forward to a healthy spring.
