‘FF has Talent’ show Jan. 26 [UPDATED]

Watch your family, friends, and neighbors perform a variety of talents at A Center for the Arts’ “Fergus Falls Has Talent” show at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Fergus Theatre in Fergus Falls. Tickets for this show are $12 for adults and $5 for children/students.comfortable

A variety of talents will be performed by 33 acts from all over the area. Performers will include singers, a variety of musicians, several types of dancers, jugglers, comedians, and more.

This is a juried talent show and judges Robbyn Navatto and David Marty will select a winner in each of two age categories (ages 5 to 16 and 16 to adult) to receive a cash prize of $100. There will also be a “People’s Choice” award selected by the audience for $50 cash.

Robbyn Navatto has been a talent agent for more than 20 years in Minneapolis, Los Angeles and New York. She has worked for the largest commercial/print agency in New York City and then partnered with a Los Angeles agent and began focusing on actors for film and television.

She runs her own management company and place talents with agencies in New York or Los Angeles for commercials, print work, film acting, and Broadway. She has worked with over 20 record labels and music professionals on both coasts.

As a manager, she is able to submit talent for private audition opportunities for shows as “America’s Got Talent” and “The Voice.”

David Marty is the President of Reif Arts Council, responsible for programming and managing the 645-seat Myles Reif Performing Arts Center in Grand Rapids.

The Reif presents about 40 touring performances each year, and balances this with a full schedule of community-based theater, dance and music events. Marty has also served as the Executive Director of the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids in Michigan.
