A free artist’s reception is being held from 6:16 to 7:15 pm Saturday, just prior to the 7:30 p.m. ticketed performance by Mixed Blood Theatre.
The Theatre is in downtown Fergus Falls at 124 W. Lincoln Ave. Our lobby is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., plus an hour before performances.
Sara Ferrari has had a love for art from an early age. In Junior High, another spark ignited when Sara attended her first art class. At the age of 15, her first book cover was published.
Sara was asked to design a mural for the theater lobby by art teacher Shelli Fenske at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton. The next year, Sara took an independent study class with Shelli, and the following year went into her advanced art class.
Since high school, Sara has had the opportunity to teach at a writer’s conference, teach in Mexico, and she hopes to start a home school art program for her church.
Horses have been a source of inspiration for Sara from a very early age, and most of her works contain horses in some shape or form.
Sara dabbles in many different mediums while working full time for Ken’s Sanitation in Fargo.
“I never specialized in any one medium, but I do the best with pencil, and photo-manipulations,” says Sara.
She has also done photography, sculpting, wood burning, jewelry, sewing, painting, and paper maché.
