Charger boys slip past Battler 53-50

EVANSVILLE — The hosting Charger boys were able to rally back in the second half to top the Little Eight Conference leading Battle Lake Battlers 53-50 Friday.singing

The Battlers left at the break up leading 40-22, but saw the home team rally from behind to pick up a huge conference victory.

John Haseman had a monster evening scoring 30 points and pulling down 20 boards for Brandon-Evansville.

Tony Ukkelberg led the visiting team with 17 points, while teammate Petric VanErp chipped in 10 marks in the game.

The Chargers will now prepare for another LEC battle with Parkers Prairie Friday at 7:30 p.m., while the Battlers will look to get back in a home game against Perham Tuesday at 7:45 p.m.
