BATTLE LAKE — The Battle Lake boys held tight to the Perham Yellowjackets Tuesday, but a strong second half run gave the visit a 71-59 victory.

In the first half, the teams played back and forth basketball as each bucket would follow with a response. After the dust settle and the team’s broke at half-time the score was knotted up 40-40.

The ‘Jackets would come out of the break and control the tide of the game as they went on a 31-19 run in the second half to seal the victory.

Tyler Glines led the Perham shooters with 22 points, while teammate Hunter Salathe chipped in 14.

The Battlers saw Nick Trosdahl drop in 21 points. Dan Marso (13) and Tyler Ukkelberg (12) were also in double figures.

Battle Lake will take a short jaunt Friday to play Hwy. 210 foe Underwood at 7:30 p.m., while the Yellowjackets will go take on Heart O’Lakes Conference rival in a 7:30 p.m. Friday night feud.
