NOTICE OF CALL FOR BIDS
2013 AUTOMATED REFUSE COLLECTION EQUIPMENT

NOTICE TO BIDDERS:

Sealed proposals will be received by the City Council of the City of Fergus Falls, Minnesota at the City Administrator’s Office until 2:00 o’clock p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013 and will be opened by the City Administrator, Public Works Director and two members of the City Council in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at an open meeting on the above date at 2:00 o’clock p.m.

The work is in accordance with specifications prepared by the City of Fergus Falls, Minnesota and consists of the following approximate quantities of major items of work:

Mechanized Refuse Collection Vehicle Including:
One (1) truck chassis with automated side loading refuse packer and correlated appurtenances.

Proposals, plans and specifications are on file and may be examined at the Office of the Public Works Department, City Hall, 112 West Washington Ave., Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Vendors desiring plans and specifications for personal use may secure them from the Public Works Department, the City’s web site:  http://www.ci.fergus-falls.mn.us, (bids and proposals),or by calling (218)332-5435.

Proposals must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier’s check, or bidder’s bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the total bid price and made payable to the City of Fergus Falls.  All bid guarantees, except those of the two low bidders will be returned within ten (10) days after the opening of the bids.  The bid guarantee of the two low bidders will be retained until the contract has been executed, but no longer than sixty (60) days.

All bids must be submitted on proposal blanks furnished by the City of Fergus Falls, Minnesota.  Bids must be in the hands of the City Administrator no later than 2:00 o’clock p.m. on February 11, 2013 and must be in a sealed envelope plainly marked “Bid on 2013 Automated Refuse Collection Equipment”.

The City of Fergus Falls reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the contract to the best interest of the City.
