UNDERWOOD — A great first half start and a strong second half finish allowed the Underwood girls to claim their 12th win of the season over the Hancock Owls 59-43 Thursday.

The Rockets were able to control the game in front of the home crowd as they left at the break up 35-27.

In the second half, Underwood turned their offense all the way to 11 as they led by 20 points at one point in the game. Hancock was unable to make a substantial dent as the Rockets walked off the court with the victory.

Greta Thormodson had a good night for Underwood, scoring 16 points and pulling down 11 boards for a double-double, while teammate Carly Masloski led the scoring attack with 23 tallies.

The Rockets will get a test Thursday as they travel to take on Little Eight Conference rival and No. 7 (Class A) ranked Parkers Prairie in a 7:30 p.m. showdown.
