What Is Medicare All About? How do the pieces fit together and what are possible sources of financial assistance?

If you will soon be new to Medicare, that is close to turning 65, on disability, or if you are an adult child being faced with helping your parents with their health care needs, this class is for you.

It will help you understand insurance coverage and how Medicare, Medical Assistance and prescription drug plans work.

Lyle Hoxtell, Otter Tail County Coordinator on Aging and State Health Insurance Counselor, will be sharing the basics of Medicare health and drug coverage, the different options available, and will discuss the annual enrollment questions.

Class will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday or from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Community Education, Roosevelt Education Center, 340 Friberg Ave., in Fergus Falls.

There is no charge to attend, but pre-registration is required by calling Fergus Falls Community Education at 218-998-0544, Ext. 1600.
