Light show event raises money for Wadena Food Shelf [UPDATED]

Wadena Light Show volunteers, Mary Ann Hagen and Mary Pierce from the Wadena Food Shelf were on hand to receive a check from Christmas In Wadena creator, GP Anderson for $1,407.58.Christianity

Jeanette Baymler, Alice Houle and Sue Wirta stocked the 267 pounds of food. Many families receive aid over a period of months after the Christmas season as well, people struggling with difficult family, emotional, or employment problems. 1,489 pounds of food and $5,446.06 was collected and donated over the past five years.

Christmas In Wadena is a free animated light show that runs from Thanksgiving until New Years each year. GP and Nancy Anderson endeavor to bring spiritual light and love to those at Christmas so that the real meaning of the season is not forgotten.
