Taste-testing for Kennedy’s school’s Grab-N-Go Breakfast will be available to students in the concession area from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. All students are invited to the taste testing event and will vote on items that could then be used in future menus.

The Grab-N-Go Breakfast was developed with support from the Fergus Falls School District Wellness Committee, PartnerSHIP 4 Health and funding from Fuel Up to Play 60 and the Midwest Dairy Council.

“Starting your morning with a healthy breakfast is certainly an important way to get your day off to a good start — eating a healthy breakfast helps students achieve more academically as well as learn lifelong healthy behaviors,” says Linda Bowhall, FACS teacher, and Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisor. “The Grab-N-Go breakfast was started this past fall at Kennedy High School as a way to intersect the busy lives of senior high students and healthy eating.”

Assisting in the taste-testing event will be senior high student council members, Fuel Up to Play 60 student ambassadors, as well as school dietitians and food service staff, PartnerSHIP 4 Health staff, and Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisors.
