Snowflake Factory at Trinity Friday

As real snowflakes grace the trees and homes around Fergus Falls, Trinity Lutheran Church and School is busy making plans for the community to enjoy snowflakes indoors.

The first ever Snowflake Factory kicks off during the Fergus Falls Frostbite Festival from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday in the school gym.

“We’ll have fun activities for people of all ages,” said Dawn Carlson, chairwoman of the pre-school board of directors. “We’ll have crafts like cutting out snow flakes, and games for older kids like a snow ball toss, reverse ice fishing and snowman bowling. We’ll even have insta-snow, so kids can play with ‘snow’ indoors.”

Carlson added that there will be riding toys to keep young ones happy, and challenging games like cribbage and Yahtzee for adults. There will also be hot dogs, and a snowflake snack that kids can make out of pretzels and marshmallows, while supplies last.

All Snowflake Factory activities and are free for the community.

“Our preschool puts on family events from time to time, and we thought having a Frostbite Festival activity was great timing to put on in conjunction with Lutheran school week,” said Carlson.

Trinity Lutheran School and Church is located at 1150 W. Cavour in Fergus Falls.
