A snowmobile which was reported stolen since 2010 was discovered Thursday afternoon near County Highway 88 and 190th Avenue in Otter Tail County.

Shadow Holm reported she saw a snowmobile on the north side of the road by a cornfield near her residence.

She initially thought there was someone who may have been injured near the snowmobile.

There was no one there when authorities arrived. The authorities noticed that the snowmobile, a Skidoo, had a damaged ski. The damage was made by what authorities believe was the vehicle striking a rock.

Authorities later discovered that the snowmobile had been reported stolen on Dec. 31, 2010.
